March 20, 2019. Mini-sculpture "Kiev Computer" opened in Kiev in Ukraine
On 20th of March, 2019 (Happiness Day) a "Kiev Computer" miniature sculpture was unveiled in Kiev (casted by Daria Vovk). It was accomplished within the framework of Julia Bevzenko’s "Shukai" culturological project and with participation of ASUS trade representation in Ukraine. The computer miniature was casted in bronze. This sculpture is symbolic of the Small Electronic Computing Machine ("MESM"), the first computer in the continental Europe with the stored software. This computer was developed in 1948-1951 under the guidance of academician Sergei Lebedev.
The 13th miniature sculpture of "Shukai" project is mounted on the exterior wall of CHANG Vietnamese restaurant in 23-а Yaroslaviv val street.
The opening ceremony was attended and commented by Boris Malinovskiy, a 97-year old pioneer of computer technology.
